My office has been working closely with MTO and the City of Burlington to address congestion on city streets. To help with traffic flow the following measures will be in place during construction:

  • Two lanes on QEW Fort Erie Bound at Burlington Skyway will be closed for the weekend.
  • Access to the Burlington Skyway Niagara Bound from Eastport Drive will be closed for the weekend.
  • No Access to QEW Fort Erie Bound from South of Northshore Blvd North of the Lift Bridge.
  • Access to QEW Fort Erie Bound from South of the Lift Bridge will remain open.

This work is essential to ensure the long-term safety and integrity of the bridge. Construction began in May 2024 and is expected to be completed by the fall of 2026. For further information please click the link below.

Grateful to have the Minister of Environment Conservation and Parks in Burlington to announce $20 million in the Greenlands Conservation Partnership. This program will help protect green spaces in Ontario, like the Bruce Trail.
