Additional $2.5M One-Time Funding for Health Organizations in Burlington

MPP Pierre is pleased to announce one time funding for 2 health organizations that support our broader community including Burlington.

The total one-time funding for these 2 organizations for the fiscal year of 2024-25 totals almost $2.5M to support innovative models of care to support individuals who are in hospital and need an Alternative Level Care (ALC.)

The two organizations that received this funding that support Burlington are:

  • Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton
  • AbleLiving Services Inc.

This funding supports our work in building up Ontario’s innovative models of care. Our government is investing over $133 million in one-time funding to support the Alternative Level of Care (ALC) and Patient Flow initiatives in 2024-25.

These initiatives were launched in 2022-23 to support health system and recovery, ensuring people and families across the province can continue to access timely and quality care, whether in a hospital or within the community. This funding will reduce existing ALC cases and support patient flow from hospitals to more appropriate settings, such as home care or long-term care.

Through Your Health, our government is making it easier and faster for people of all ages to connect to the care they need, where and when they need it.
